Failure to Launch

Failure to Launch…

I recently read that young adults often feel like they’re treading water in a large lake surrounded by buildings all around the perimeter with no idea which way to swim.

Does that sound like a young adult in your life?  So many choices, but no idea how to proceed?  They’ve earned a degree, or gotten a certification, but don’t have the confidence or the resources to move forward.  Companies want experience, so how do they get hired if they’re fresh out of school?  Or worse, they’ve been out for some time, not working anywhere, while the competition in their area of expertise continues to increase and they feel like life is simply passing them by.

The role of a life coach is to help them navigate that lake.  We ask the tough questions that help them take the first steps to swim toward the shore.  They’re doing the hard work; we’re just offering encouragement and holding them accountable in their efforts.  We all want to be the center of someone’s world and that’s EXACTLY what a good life coach does!
