As a friend and colleague, Joan’s zest for life, positive outlook and motivational attitude are inspiring and I would recommend her highly as a life coach.  She has the attributes necessary to encourage people to be their best and to cheer them on in their journey.  Joan is truly someone who makes people feel good and is fun to be around.  She naturally lifts people up with her enthusiasm and spirit.  She is made for this.

The workshop I initially attended was a great experience to build confidence in order to move past self-built or external obstacles.

These are phrases I’d use to describe Joan Bailey Swinehart:  She is committed to people, caring, and empathic.  She seeks to have an impact on people’s lives, help them better themselves, and is open, non-judgmental, and enjoys seeing people successful and happy.  She shares in other people’s joy, and it makes her feel better about the world when others do well.

Joan was my colleague for more than 20 years.  During those years, Joan was a sounding board for me when I considered changes in my professional career and a friend when I needed one – even when I did not know I needed one.

She is an active listener, willing to share bold guidance in a polished and friendly manner, and extremely positive about life.  I have always admired her spunk and genuine personality.  Mostly, I am grateful that our lives have connected; I would not be the person I am today without her influence.

She expects that you pull your weight on any team project and will hold you accountable in a firm, but caring way.

My life has changed for the better since working with Joan Swinehart. She was a colleague of mine in the teaching profession.  I had transitioned from an academic high school to a career and technical education school.  They are two different styles of teaching.  She was instrumental in my successful transition in this new environment.  She had guided me to look at education through a different lens which made me a better teacher, or should I say, facilitator.  The role of a facilitator is to build student confidence by encouraging them to become problem solvers.  Joan and I were club advisors too. Her ability to bring out the best in the students and other advisors created a fun, trusting, and positive environment.  I would highly recommend Joan as a coach to anyone interested in maximizing their potential!

Joan’s ability to share actionable life lessons in a personal, non-confrontational way makes her a joy to talk with. She has a vested interest in your success and that makes her one of the best mentors I've ever had.
